The farm OS I am building because nothing else fit
In active development
An AI-powered operating system for mid to large farms, designed by someone who actually runs one. Still in progress, built in the open.
The problem
I started a farm to grow organic food, and within a couple of months I realized I needed software to run it. Not just to track things, but to guide me through the actual journey of a crop. I looked at plenty of farm management apps. They either piled on features I would never touch or did almost nothing useful. None of them was the thing I actually needed.
What I am building
Farmi is the app I went looking for and could not find. It is meant to tell me what to plant in the coming days and how to plant it, with a full playbook for each crop whether it goes in an open field or a greenhouse. It reminds me of every action a crop needs. It maps my land, plans intercropping and multi-cropping, handles labor, and folds in finance so the money side lives in the same place as everything else. On top of that sits an AI assistant that can answer questions about my own farm data in plain language.
I am building it as the founder of the farm it is meant to serve, which means I already know where the pain is. So far I have designed the prototype, the architecture, the database, and a design system I am genuinely happy with. It is heading toward a SaaS product that any mid to large farm could run on.
The result
Farmi is still in progress, and I am building it in the open. It is the clearest example of how I work: feel a real problem firsthand, design the solution from the inside, and build it properly instead of reaching for whatever already exists.
